Monday's Meow-Mix

This is how I am feeling this morning, as I get ready to leave my cozy home for a trip to the dentist....

Oh, And By the Way...

... I wanted to give a quickie shout out for a shopping event in the Marina district in San Francisco.  "Sip, Snack & Shop" on Chestnut.  Now, why would I be recommending another food/drink/shopping event?  Because I just dropped off a load of beautiful, sparkly goodies at the Rabat store on Chestnut Street.  And this event would be a great time to go check out new Hsu-Lee Designs jewelry!

Gilty Wish List

Have you folks shopped on Gilt, yet?  I've treated myself to a pair of boots and some coolio wood plates and bowls from it.  There are however, my guilty, eye-candy treasures.  Here's the pic-loot from today's window-shopping...

De-Threading

Hi Folks,

Happy Thanksgiving!  Hope everyone is enjoying a fabulous weekend!

As promised, a few pics from the Thread Show last week.

To say the least, it was a good learning experience.  My jewelry was selected to be in one of the runway fashion shows that happened during the event.  I was approached by a handful of buyers (keep your fingers crossed).  The booth (ah, is this something that I just can't get away from?) looked great!  I met some awesome people.  And I now know that I am capable of pulling together a show!

Anything else you may ask?  Well, let's just keep things hanging on a positive note....!!!

setting up for the event...(with the help of a good hubby and good friend, willing to get up uber-early on their sunday morning.....

before the crowds came rushing in...

everything ready to go...

don't you love these awesome wood displays?  i'll be nice and tell you where i got them,  if you are looking for some!

Monday's Meow-Mix

Hi folks -

I am BUSHED.  It's been a crazy several weeks, with trying to scout new boutiques and gearing up for the Thread Show (pics to follow...).

For now, a cat will have to do...

What's Happening...

Gearing up for the big show.  I'm nervous (stage-fright) but super EXCITED for this opportunity to hang out with other local artists and most of all - to meet customers in person!  It makes me especially happy, to see someone try on a piece of my jewelry and love it.

Monday's Meow-Mix

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Mine was filled with....  making jewelry!  My face is super dried out - like a sunburn, from all the torch work I've been doing.

Wintery Weekend

This past weekend in San Francisco was cool, cold and blustery.  Saturday plans to cross the bridge and go hiking in the Marin Headlands were foiled by the excessive fog in the area.  After a delish (but naughty) brekkie, we instead, opted for Crissy Field, for a bay-side stroll.

Sunday showers, kept us indoors.  It was a cozy day, filled with football, books and hot drinks.  Mmmm...  I could get used to wrapping a blanket around my shoulders and reading all day.

those spikes do NOT make me feel warm & fuzzy!

Monday's Meow-Mix

Did I ever mention that I love cats?  Alas, I'm SO FREAKIN' ALLERGIC to them.  There will be no cats in my immediate, nor distant future.  Sadness.  I've never had a "real" pet before, unless you count goldfish or birds that greatly disliked me.  My current living situation doesn't allow pets anyway, so there's another (big) reason why I don't have a lovely, little feline companion.  I've decided to dedicate Monday's blogs to the furry friend that I'll never have...

Love, love, LOVE.

Seeing a lot of "mercury" glass items around for holiday decorating.  I love the liquid beauty of these glassworks.  I may want to focus on these for decorating, although, they're so beautiful, it shouldn't be limited to just the winter holiday season.
